Raw CR2 files

Can someone tell me where i can get a plugin for this file extention.
I use a program called thumbs plus to view my images and Photoshop 7 for alterations. Oh and still using 98:o

I'm not familiar with Thumbs Plus, but I see they have a download available

I'm not sure about Photoshop. Adobe Camera Raw was a plug-in they sold for PS 7.1 for $99.00. They then incorporated it into CS, and stopped selling the plug-in.

You might want to consider doing the RAW conversion in PS Elements which will handle the CR 2 files. It's cheaper than buying CS if you don't need everything it offeres.

well elements 2 does not do RAW as far as i know.
but elements 3 does. as well as many other cool and new features.

i have not messed with RAW yet but have done a little legwork on processing them.
PSCS is way too much coin, but PSE3 is within budget.
sure wish there was an upgrade from PSE2 to PSE3 though.

no need to apologize. just trying to keep the info clear and without doubt.
i have learned that with the last few years spent on various online forums.
many are frequents some just hit and miss the forum.
with the constant new releases there are bound to be people that are not in the know.
so i just try to keep the info as current as i can.
