Couldn't resist going out a few days ago and shooting some downtown shots at night. It was crystal clear out and the bay was almost like glass.

Would love to hear opinions, thoughts, suggestions...they were both taken with Canon 40D and the EF-50mm 1.8 II lens.
Thanks.

#2 really jumps off the screen...excellent.
#1 has me scratching my head because the reflection doesn't exactly match the skyline. Most noticeably, the large green patch on the water. Where's its source in the skyline? ???
Beautiful images.

Thanks for the comments. I applied a NIK filter (Indian Summer) to the top one and i think that took a bit away from the overall colors on the skyline itself. I also stitched a pano (7 shots) of some of the shots i took and this can be seen here.

the set of buildings with hexagon neon are the source of the green reflection. the lights are actually green. i love san diego. that's my neighborhood actually. i live downtown off of kettner and g.

Both cool shots, I think #2 wins for being that bit different!

I've been trying to figure out where to go for shots like this. So this is in Coronado? Would you mind PMing me how to get there, please? =]

#2 is so cool. Definitely one I'd hang up on my wall. Great toning. I prefer it to your duo tone image that you later linked. Mind if I ask how you toned it so wonderfully?

All i did was tweak the hue and sat values under the colorize menu of PSP to get the desired effect. Let me know if you need more info ;)
