Hey now all
My name is Jim and I live in Austin, Texas.
My son Louie who is nineteen (soon to be twenty in December) has the photo bug.
He wants to go to Brooks Institue.
In the news ten days ago the school lays off five faculty and 12 staff members.
School attendence is down over half.
Anyone know anything about this or can offer any advice to a dad who wants to help his son?
Thanx
Jim in Austin

I've never been to the Brooks campus but it looks to be a large organization and its graduates are highly regarded.

I would consider the staff changes just a result of the economic times we are living in right now. I would think that few industries are going to be insulated from having to make staff changes like this in the near term. I wouldn't think that the layoffs here are a result of the quality of work that they do.

There are many schools offering degrees in photo related fields. I trust he has investigated more than just one.
