What portable storage device?
Well I have a dilema it seems. I am going on a trip and need more storage. the problem I am having is I have two cameras the 20D and an old Sony 717 with Sony Memory Stick storage.
I have read tons of reviews on different devices and just want some users opinions. I would rather not spend $500 on a Epson but do I have cheaper options
I need a stroage device that supports:
20GB
RAW support
Compact Flash Type I or II
Memory Stick
Optional:
LCD to view images
Microdrive supported
Suggestions
Thanks

I recently purchased an X-Drive Pro model VP-3310 on ebay for $90. I had an extra 30gb laptop hard drive that I installed very easily. I've used it a couple of times and love it. The only downside is that it doesn't have a screen to view the images. It supports CF, MD, MS, SM, SD.
Not sure if it'll meet your needs, but i figured i throw it out there.

The X'S Drives do make good travel companions, not good if you want spped though. I use mine on trips, and clear all my cards at the hotel/motel at the end of each day. I know mine has battery issues with Microdrives, but it is fine running on mains. The powerpack I have for it works anywhere in the world, as long as you have the right plug converter.

Will the SmartDisk accept RAW files and trasfer them back to your computer ok? I am thinking of buying another CF, maybe I should look at a storage device instead?

I recently got the epson p2000 and I love it. Well worth the money. Battery life is excellent; the screen is fantastic, and the blends it has while displaying slide shows is incredible. Well worth the money.

The CompactDrive PD7X is a portable storage device designed for digital camera users to store more photos on the go without using a computer. It is currently the fastest and longest lasting portable storage device in the market. Transfer speeds from memory cards to the CompactDrive are ultra fast at 4MB/s. The CompactDrive can also function as a USB 2.0 portable hard disk and 8-in-1 (CF Type I & II, MD, SD, MMC, MS, MS Pro, XD) card reader. Using only 4 x AA batteries, it can transfer up to 35GB of photos or data from your memory card to the device. You can even recharge your NiMH batteries in the CompactDrive. The CompactDrive is also one of the most reliable portable storage device around, designed to satisfy even professional photographers. The durable and lightweight aluminum casing features dust covers to protect the memory card and battery slot and protect the device from hard knocks. Your photos & data is safe with the CompactDrive. After each transfer, the CompactDrive will scan the hard disk to verify that all data from the memory card is safely transferred to the CompactDrive. The built-in LCD display will show the number of files and total size in MB that are safely transferred to the CompactDrive. You can also review the number of files and total size of all previous transfers that are stored on the CompactDrive.

Yeah I have 'eyeballed' these as well, I want to know what the catch is though, seems to be a littel too good value, and I haven't heard much about them.
