I have a 6" reflector telescope and would like to use my powershot pro1 with it to get some shots of the moon, planets, etc.

I am experiencing these problems:

1. using higher-powered eyepieces, the field of vision isn't adequate to show anything on the camera when placed in front of the eyepiece. Any suggestions on how to improve the range and still get high-powered images?

2. exposure doesn't seem to be long enough. Is there a bulb mode on this camera? I've read conflicting reports. If there isn't, what settings would you recommend.

If you have any experience with this setup, I appreciate your response. Thanks!

I have no experience in this area of photography but dont u need some sort of adapter to attach the camera to ur telescope. Also the Pro1 unless u have it setup really sturdy can produce quite a bit of noise, so thats all i can say.

My son's the one with the Pro1 and i dont think its got a proper bulb mode, not for sure though.
