S30 stores exif information with each picture - info such as apeture, exposure, flashed used, etc. How do I view this info using some picture preview or other software?

You could try ExifReader 2.8. It's freeware. You can get it at http://www.takenet.or.jp/~ryuuji.

There are other programs available that would allow you to view the EXIF information. For a list of good software that you can download and/or purchase for your Canon camera, try: http://www.canonians.com, and click on the link for Software.

I have an S30 and I am running XP Pro and all I have to do is right click on the image and select Properties. Maybe as well as Advanced. Bottom line is that It can be viewed directly.
