I'm messing with my Ghetto Lightbox (2 halogens and a cut up box with easel paper) and decided to shoot a couple of pics of a Bionicle/Lego guy my son made. This is my 2nd session attempting high-key stuff.

I'm using a new to me, uncalibrated CRT monitor so please let me know if something is really funky, otherwise the typical thoughts, comments, etc. are appreciated. Yay!

With that in mind I submit to you, Ammo, Lego dude with a tude! :D

Thanks!

Looks good! It's a bit overexposed on my screen though, but that's not a huge issue.

The fact that he seems to float in mid-air is a little unnerving for me. I think I would rather see enough of what he stands on to make it more believable.

Lol... Robert! The fact that a floating bionical man unnerves you is unnerving to me!

Yeah Bob, everybody knows that Bionicle and his gang are imprevious (sic) to gravity. Get a grip!
BTW I can see his shadow on the floor.:)

Nice high key shot. The colors look fine on my monitor.

Like SwingBopper said, I can see his shadow on the floor, but if that's what you were going for I don't think it detracts from the image.

I was trying to push the white a little and lose the background almost entirely, which happened, but I'm not sure if I like it. THis is a shot with the BG less blown out.

Better or worse?

Oh yeah, and I never meant to unnerve anyone with the flying plastic parts :D

I liked it better before.
