Out this afternoon, in between snow showers, and managed to capture this swan at a local water park. Almost got attacked in the process.

Once had a run in with a swan in Huntingdon. Thought if I stayed still, it would ignore me. WRONG. Running was the second option and a good one. Obviously protective of its image. Lovely shot. Hope it was worth the laundry bill.

Thanks for the comments guys - the lens I used was a Sigma 70 - 300mm with a Canon 300D

The Mute Swan can make for a wonderful capture . . . many water parks have them it would seem. The way they arch their wings and 'glide through the water . . . is very beautiful to see/capture. Nice shot of a wonderful bird.
