A few shots from last spring that I went back and re-edited. One of my macro resolutions for the coming year is getting better at post processing -no point if I'm going to put a lot of effort into taking a shot only to shoot myself in the foot when I get the photos on the PC...

I used a high pass sharpening technique with a 2 pixel radius and the images look pretty good for F11 images. I'm looking forward to shooting this species next spring -my lighting is a lot better now...

is that High Pass method done on the Full-sized image or on the resized image?

i sharpen the orignal image with focus magic using pix 1-4..i then resize for web..no other sharpening takes place..

Brilliant shots...now i know bees use hair gel as well :D

I don't use that exact routine, but it's close. No need to do a test -Focus Magic ads a LOT of noise to an image -high pass sharpening does not...

ok..so u set it to 3pix.thats the only thing u do different?when are u using noise where pro..and how much are u using it?more than "weaker noise"?

edit - your images look very clean.keep it up,one day your be as good as me..hahahahahah that was a joke :D:lol:
