I went to this shoot as the 2nd camera just to see if I like this sort of photography.
What do you think?

The people in the photos look very unhappy. As a bride, you want your wedding to be the best ever. You want everyone to have had the greatest time of their lives. They look sad. Also, the person on the left in each is leaning away from the other person like they are trying to avoid them. You usually see the heads tilt towards each other more.

Ditto what videochicke says.

Seems the white balance is off in the right image...For an important day as it was, custom WB is the best way to go or shoot in RAW.
Good Luck!

These people did not smile much at all day.

The people photos look too closely shot, especially #2 - it's just heads. #1 is very warm/red and #2 seems a bit orangish. Look to adjust your white balance.
And it's your job to get good photos, so you should have encouraged the people you were shooting to smile unless you were taking candids.

I was there to just take candid shots and the other photographer was the lead photographer

It's not as easy as it looks, is it?
The ring shots look really well done... the people shots, well I concur with what's already been said.

Well the 2 photos you posted were not candids as they looked to be posed. A definition of a "candid" photo is an unposed photo or a photo taken without knowledge a camera was on them.

Wow:
I was there to just take candid shots and the other photographer was the lead photographer
That statement hurts - You are not there to just take candids. Your attitude should be of the lead photographer. My second photographers use the same gear I do (provided by me) and I expect them to add value to the background of the wedding. They should be concerned with photographing the day with just as much professionalism and quality as the lead.
Secondary shots at times can make or break the primary shots. Think of adding those 'just candid' shots of yours to an album. Would you? I would not. Think of the customer and their satisfaction level. Are you giving them something that they can't have Auntie M take?
Another concern of mine is you stated "I went to this shoot as the 2nd camera just to see if I like this sort of photography.' The attitude I am getting from that is you were more concerned with what you would be getting out of it rather than the customer. Take every job seriously and expect to give your best not 'just to see'. You have shortchanged yourself, the customer and the studio.
