Hello All.

My sister is getting married next year, and has asked me to help her find a photographer. (she doesn't know photog speak and is afraid of not getting what she wants)

The wedding is in Newport, RI, at the Hotel Viking on Oct 17, 2009.

She's looking for the following :

hours of approx. 12/1pm to 10pm, which will include getting ready, ceremony (3pm), reception (5:30 - 10:30) etc.

Edited full rez printable photos in TIFF format on DVD(s), with rights to print.

ALL unedited full rez photos (JPEG or TIFF) on DVD (she would prefer raw files, but I told her the chance of that is slim to none... but she want's every picture regardless)

No albums, no prints, no proof books. She wants to do all that on her own.

Please email me at phillipbond@gmail.com with your responses/rates/gallery/etc.

Thanks for looking!

Hey, it could be worse... At least she doesn't also want an e-session and the rehearsal dinner as well.

Probably won't find a wedding photographer that has any experience that will meet those demands without costing your sister a whole lot of money. She'll need to go for an inexperienced photog that is just looking for a chance to shoot a wedding. Craigslist seems to have an abundance of these these types of photogs. If you post there, you'll probably get more positive results.

That's untrue. There are plenty of photographers that are willing to hand out a disc. And on the contrary, if he posts on craigslist, I highly DOUBT that he will get any of the results he's looking for...

I don't know of any photographer who would give away a RAW file or the unedited images as well as edited. In fact, I thought when giving the image files, that they should be jpeg EDITED images, ready for printing.

Of course, unless your sister had A LOT of money to spend on photography. Seeing the location and her demands, I would say she could possible spend a pretty penny for those requests.

Secondly, the cost per person at that location starts at just over $100, so if they have a hundred guests, then that's a whopping hundred grand. Surely, they could afford the Ten Thousand dollars for their wedding photos.

Heck, I'd do it for ten grand!
