Does any one use paper backgrounds. I have seen some savage seamless paper backgrounds and that seems great to me because I am trying to get some solid color backgrounds. I wanted someone who has used them to give me advice on them and also I have a background stand but was wondering, I have seen a background stand that holds three rolls of paper, could I add crossbars to mine or would I have to buy a new stand?!

I use Savage paper along with their background stand. I can't tell you whether your stand will work. The basic stand they sell is basically just 2 light stands with a bar. I really love their paper and I'm getting addicted to buying it. I joined the NAPP so I could get free shipping from B&H, so that saves a lot of shipping those big rolls of paper.

I've tried 3 of my colors so far and I have 2 more sitting there waiting for me to find the time. I can post samples of shots on chestnut, coral, and ultramarine, if you'd like. I also ordered a chip brochure from Savage so I can see the actual paper colors.

Check out Bogen ExpanDrives (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=workaround.jsp&A=details&Q=&sku=560252&is=REG). They attach to the cardboard roll inside the paper and allow you to raise/lower the paper with a chain.

Then you can mount it to the wall with this (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/546384-REG/Bogen_Manfrotto_045_Model_045_Background_Triple.ht ml)
