I am a lock checker . . . a knob twister and a general snoop when I am out and about. Hence I have been rewarded with several unexpected 'findings' in my time. this one kind of spooked me some, a dark empty store that was open. The mind is a wonderful thing, lol, or not. Was it empty? Or was it an invitation for the unwary . . .
Strange towns, different people, I passed on this one. But I had the opportunity.

Wasn't the same place with the spooky slot in the door was it. Looks like you stepped into the "Twilight Zone" really like the shot love the aging on the old wood.

LOL, nope hand slot place is a hundred miles north of here. There are some strange things out there, if you go looking. I was very uneasy about this store . . . much like the poem of the fork in the road, one leading to — well you know.

I can appreciate the eeriness of the story & situation. The flaky paint and olld wood add to the atmosphere
Good shot.

I guess I'm a product of my environment. As much as I love the idea of exploring abandoned buildings and "haunted" houses, my first reaction is always: " I bet there are some bums living in there.". Oh well, that's what I get for growing up in Los Angeles!!
I really want you to go throught the door!

Too cold for bums here . . . and nothing to eat either. The cold places are no place for a man on the lamb. I think the owner just forgot to lock up, the wind pushed the door open and I . . . dare not step in. But I wanted to. Badly. I hope the photograph caught the anxiety I was feeling, at least some part of it. In a very simple way there is a 'big' story here. The senses are very powerful things.
