Three shots (-1, 0, 1) merged in Photomatix 3. Then a little touch up here and there in PS. The ground doesn't look this red in PS.... I swear. :p

Did this shot need HDR? It seems like really natural tonemapping, which is good to see (not OTT).
Well done... and someone clean up that orange spot on the ground. Looks like the cat in the hat came back. You need Cat Z and his VROOM!

Nice shot. I bet if you took off your .9 polarized Phoenix sunglasses, the ground really was that color. ;)

For me yes. I didn't have a CPL, or any filters with me for that matter, when I took this shot. So either the sky would have been blown or the building too dark.
