First pics from Canon 50mm f/1.8

I bought the Canon 50mm f/1.8 this weekend and went out to take some pictures. Here's one that I thought turned out ok. (Resized it using MSPaint... :o )

Thanks everyone ! I'm not really sure what kind of plant this was but the spiked thing in the picture wasnt bigger than my thumb :)
I can definitely see the difference in quality between this lens and the kit 18-55mm lens. I'm beginning to really understand aperture now.

I love this lens . . . and the shots it takes. I wish more folks used it as their 'normal' or walk around lens. Nice work.
