Went out this afternoon for a round of golf on a small course that has no golf carts. I had my camera in a lowpro toploader strapped to my golf bag on the pull cart. The egret was walking along the edge of the lake so I pulled out the camera instead of golf clubs for a few holes. The poor bird flew up into a tree after someone hit their ball near it. Soon after, it took off as another ball whizzed by and I got the second shot.

Oh yes! That take off shot is perfectly timed! :)

Thanks for the kind words and encouragement. CDS, I don't know about timed. I just sat there figuring someone would hit the tree trunk eventually. Only had to sit there 5 minutes.

You are the dedicated photag . . . and rewarded for being one. Nice catch of the flight. You have your 'swing' down now don't you.

Can't wait until you get an eagle.

As lucky as she is . . . that would be 'par' for the course.

You guys crack me up! Except for the zoo and TV, I have never seen an eagle...But I'm keeping my eyes open (mainly so I don't run into a post again).
