Hello everyone,

I was about to pull the trigger on a new Elinchrom Ranger RX set with one head and one battery.

But recently, I found a great deal for around the same price on a Hensel Porty set. The Hensel comes with two heads and two batteries.

The difference is that the Elinchroms would be brand new and the Hensels are from 2005.

I can't rent accessories for either one locally, so that's not an issue.

Any thoughts? Which one would you recommend? Thanks!

How about the availability of accessories in your country/city? is it easier to find accessories for Elinchrom or for Hensel gear there? :)

Well, it seems that Elinchrom stuff is easier to come by. Although I can order Hensel accessories online from B&H or Adorama. B&H doesn't seem to carry it all the time, but Adorama seems to have stock currently.

I can see that Elinchrom would be easier to buy accessories for, but from what I've heard, Hensels are better lights.
