In other news, we should plan a photo outing sometime soon. I get so lazy in the winter and never make it a priority to shoot. I have only done one gathering from this thread (Air Force hangers in Dayton), but I had a good time.

Any suggestions?

Does anyone have any recommendations on a good location to shoot the Cincy skyline at night? I've been wanting to try this for a long time. My initial thought was somewhere near the 'cut in the hill' but thought someone might have some experience here.

I went out to Taylor Park right before the 4th of July and took some pretty fun shots. Taylor park is just west of the Levee and is an easy walk if you park at the Levee.

Thanks! #1 was a bit of an accident. I was testing out different exposures in preparation for the fireworks. I had some that were really overexposed, and some that were underexposed, and plenty in the middle. When I was processing the pix, I remembered that all of my 'tests' were taken on a tripod, so I took 6 shots all about 1EV apart and turned them into an HDR. It was the only way that I was able to get the bright lights AND the dimmer buildings to all show up. When I was shooting, I had no intentions of keeping my test shots!

Absolutely. 16 years ago on 10/15, I reported to Ft. Benning for Infantry training. D. Co. 2/54th!

Thanks - he's in the 101st Air Assault...no longer Airborne - they repel out of helicopters rather than jump from planes. Lucky for us, he'll be stationed in Ft Campbell KY. Until he's deployed at least.

The first time I ever saw snow was Halloween... this year. I still haven't seen it fall. I flew into Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, on the 31st, and it was everywhere.

I'm doing some shooting tomorrow! Hopefully the rain holds off, plans are to shoot inside some buildings if need be:p or its some rain fun!
