I plan on donating a couple of matted pictures at a charity event this weekend. I don't have a lot of experience with this, so if you have done this before, what do you use for protecting the mattes?
I've seen photographers put some type of plastic around the entire thing?
Any specifics? Preferably something that is cost effective! :)
Thanks!

There are clear bags you can get that protect them. I forget where to purchase them----someone should chime in here and let you know.

Thanks! Anyone know where to get these or have any other suggestions? Art supply store? Specialty store?

If you have never done mats before, there's a lot to learn!
Are you doing your own? Make sure that everything you use is acid-free.

I have cut mattes in the past, but I don't have a whole lot of time this go round... Just found out about the auction going on at my church Saturday morning... I'm gonna go the lazy route and have someone else print my enlargements, buy pre-cut mattes, etc... Not as much fun or creative, but that's all I can do on short notice!
I suppose there aren't any local places to get Clear Bags?
Oh well - at least I know for future reference!

A lot of pre-cut mats will come with bags.
