were you nervous as he shot with your camera?

the day i got my 20D i went to my friends place. he has 3 kids. 1month, 2 years and 4.5 years. well i just crawled right on the floor with them and mom got nervous as can be. i thought nothing of it. i felt i could not get the best shots if i stood up. so i got to their level.
ended up with a couple nice shots that way.
she was just as nervous this past weekend.
hope she gets over it.

Funny, I have similar experience right now. My son (3.5 years old) can comfortably use Powershot S45, but after I let him use the 10D (with grip and bounced flash) few days ago there is no way he'll go back to P&S! He seems to enjoy the SLR viewfinder and stability due to the weight :D plus obviously the cool factor - shooting with "Daddy's Big Camera".

My son (nearly two) in the above pictures is just fascinated with my 10D and the rest of my equipment. He looks through the viewfinder and wants to press all the buttons (make things appear on the LCD screen) and put caps on lenses etc. I do get nervous but the 10D is a bit to heavy for him to pick up.

Tom,

he's really cute!

My 2-year old luckily hasn't yet started to take pictures himself, but he does my chimping for me.

Whenever I take a picture of him or his little brother, he comes to me, sits on my lap and demands that I show him the picture.

Best regards,
Andy

Wow, I'd be too scared to let a little kid touch my camera. o.0
