Shots look great to me. Please forgive an innocent question, but what was challenging about the conditions? My naive non-sport-shooting brain says it looks like there was plenty of light.

Ahh... sorry wintoid... I should have elaborated... It was one of those days when those nasty dark black clouds were speeding past. The sun was in and out and in and out... one minute the exposure was 1/1000s f/4 at 200ASA, a couple of seconds later it was 1/1000s f/4 at 1000ASA! Shooting into the sun was the best bet, but it was getting lower by the second and making life that bit trickier.

It was freezing!...and, yep, those bracelets are starting to pop up all over the place... and all in a good cause...

I drove all the way to Penzance (450 miles there and back) to take some pics of our womens team, it was gloriously sunny but still very cold. I'll post some later if there is any interest.

I for one would like to see 'em... and that's a seriously long trip - what was the result??

The first goal came after a defender was shoved over, the second was a yard offside and our striker beat two defenders, steadied, cocked her leg to shoot from six yards and the referee blew up for half time!!!

We lost 0-2, bit of a surprise really but the officials were shocking. The first goal came after a defender was shoved over, the second was a yard offside and our striker beat two defenders, steadied, cocked her leg to shoot from six yards and the referee blew up for half time!!!

Shocking officials... never!! Nice pics though... good to see plenty of women's football on here. I've been watching it for the best part of 15 years now and the quality just gets better ever season.

I've been watching it for the best part of 15 years now and the quality just gets better ever season.Absolutely. Most football fans mock it but I've been watching City for three seasons now and the improvement, especially some of the 14 year old girls coming through has been amazing.

In two sundays time we are away at Bristol City in the County Cup, last season they beat us 0-15 and we've got better since so I'd like to think we can keep them down to single figures at least this time!

Gmen, Really have enjoyed these pics , esspecially 1,3 and 4. Caught more of the pics you made regarding, Very hard, white balls... I really liked those. Other pics to this post, great shots.
