Ok not really but I found out something that Gary Fong Tupperware can be used for. It need a little more work but $1.78 white bowl $2.00 convex mirror and a little hot glue I'll have to put on a little more glue and a couple more coats of paint. Just have it tacked together now but hot glue is pretty much strong enough to hold it together and also easy to remove And yes I know I need to remove the yellow peal off and get rif of the blue tape thats to keep from getting the paint on that high dollar tupperware
P.S. Dont laugh at my model she is the best I could afford

Hi Daniel,

It's still a pretty small light source. I'd be curious to see it used on a person.

Do you find that the Fong collar is enough to hold it to the Speedlight securely?

Can you give us info on the bowl? I might be interested on making one of thies for table top stuff. I know you can get the Fong-O-ware knock off for $16. I just need to go to walmart an look in the kitchen section to find a bowl.

Yes it is small just a little over 11" should work pretty good on close ups beats pulling out that 24" though and the Fong holds it well the bowl is actually lighter than the Fong I guess thats why it was so cheap I wouldn't try to mix a cake in it

I just need to go to walmart an look in the kitchen section to find a bowl. Its was in the kitchen section they are just a little over 11" they had two different colors cost a little under $2 they are thin and cheap be careful cutting the bottom out when I started cutting it cracked so I ended up melting it out with a soldering iron. the mirror is in the automotive section its just a 3.75" stick on. I used hot glue and it holds pretty good I haven't tried to pull it apart but I threw it around a little and it has stayed together with just a small amount of glue

They also have some larger bowls in the store but I was trying to keep it light so I wouldn't have to put additional bracing to support the flash head
