tomcat and tek they all lined up before the game the helmets came off and there it was a sea of blond pretty sure it was just for the game but could not pass up the shot
The #'s on the arm thing I think is just a high school thing I have noticed it at a few games this year ......kids what you going to do? Thanks for looking and commenting guys

all of them seem over sharpened and their skin tones are really off (too red) but the action shots are great!

canonnoob I sometimes have a hard time deciding how much to web sharpen and the red may be to the very overcast Sky's and me using the cloudy setting who new? I will work on that for next time thanks guys for the comments

why not use a custom white balance next time? it will work out alittle better... but nice work none the less...

Ditch the cloudy setting - go with AWB or CWB. Ditch AV mode and go M as it seems the light was pretty even and it's better you control the camera instead of it letting it control anything if possible. AV is more for when the exposure is changing a lot. Actions good, you could drop down to f/4 if using the 300 2.8 & 1.4 (see 420 in EXIF) and gain a lil more shutter, though everything is well frozen. Could even say you can back up a bit in like 5/6/7 - gives you more crop options - but impossible to do when the plays coming right on top of you like it seems to of in those. Nice peak action all toghether as well.

Just a note on the hair :) Seems like this may have been a playoff game? At the school I went to all of the players bleached their hair for playoff games if they made it.

canonnoob and MJ thanks for the detailed comments I thought about the custom WB but I new it would go from day to night so I did not. MJ I will ditch it next time I thought I was at F/4 but will have to take a look? Again thanks for the comments guys
