I mean in terms of medium format, such as SLRs are single lens reflexes. What's the cheapest version of this kind of camera that you could find on a place like ebay or craigslist type websites?

This is a very early camera from Bronica, I had one of these over 20 years ago.
It has no built in meter, but you can buy a metered prism to replace the waist level finder.
This gives the smallest negative of all the Medium Formats of 6x4.5
There is no digital back available for this camera.
This is pretty much the cheapest you will find, look for an ETRSi which is a later model. There are some really cheap new Russian MF cameras on e-bay but they are not so good.

Did other brands of medium format have similar looking cameras?

Yes, there are several. This version of the MF SLR ius quite durable and with porper care will last quite a while. But with prices dropping in this area like a stone, look for Mamiya RB/RZ stuff or for a bit more change the older Hassy stuff. No matter who make them Bronica, Pentax, Hasselblad, Mamiya, etc etc, you can find great deals on those systems. They produce wonderful, coloful images and are alot of fun to play with.
