Anyone got any cheap ideas for doing Christmas photos? We have a couple sexy santa outfits, but was wondering about props or psoing ideas...

Candy canes, of course, can be very sexy in the right position. colored lights can be wrapped nicely, as can bows and ribbons. Don't forget the tree, or what you might find underneath it (your wife). :)

Wrap empty boxes as presents. They're great props. Someone already mentioned candy canes and a tree. A simple folding stool covered with a holiday table cloth makes a great posing stool in front of the tree. Wax paper on the outside of a window gives it a frosted look, and Christmas light hung on the outside will be gently diffused. If you use Christmas lights in the background, using a small aperture will give them a star like look.

I like how subtle the lights are and yet you can still see them. What were your settings for these? The EXIF data wasn't on the photos. Thanks for the advice and the great examples.

Like the ribbon one, but my wife is not very well endowed in that area and would not look as good.

Brian, I'm sure it would great. You can play with different widths of ribbon to get the desired look. Who says the ribbon has to stay across her chest? ;)

trust me that model was an a cup at best.. she doesn't have to well endowed.. just don't tie the ribbon tight... tape the back..

what you don't want to do.. is make it looks tight and pull the skin.. so just tape it on..

Wondering the same thing. I plan to do a sexy santa christmas theme shoot and was wondering if anybody tried this for fake snow.

Definitely garland.. here is one that i did with lights.. I shot the lights without the strobes on, and then PS'd the garland back in to show the lights on :)

Those are nice shots..
don't take this the wrong way, but on the top shot, it looks like her breasts are completly non-existent.. the surface is soooo smooth.
maybe it's just the way she is laying. I dunno.
regardless.. they are very nice!!!!

I'm doing a shoot Monday. I get some large ornaments from the dollar store. Typical red bra. I also am thinking about gift wrapping some big boxes and throwing on a bow. It will be shot on my white seamless backdrop.
