Alright flash experts, it is time to add a flash to my lineup. I have been looking and have seemed to narrow it down between these two flashes. With the MS cash back the Sigma ends up being $170 and the Canon $200.
It seems the Sigma has more features, but I really know nothing about flashes. Is the Canon worth the extra money? I tried a search but to no avail.
What would you do? Thanks in advance for the help.

It depends on what you need it for. The 430 ex seems more user friendly than the sigma, and its 100% compatible with ETTL functions. If youre looking for off camera manual accessibility, then the sig would do fine.

Sigma will also have more power!
The canon does seem more user friendly and built better.
i have a Sigma 500 super, and have had no problems with it. I don't regret the purchase, especially since it's counter part (580EX) cost almost double!

i own both 580EX II & Sigma 500 super dg. 580 is more user friendly and fires faster but use 2 Sigmas s my 2 slaves on location and 580 as master.
Sigma brand new on ebay $125. :(
