Hey guys

My friend is hoping to get into modelling, and I obviously want to practice photography, so we met up today and spent some time in the studio. She is probably going to be having a proper full portfolio done by a professional fashion photographer as payment for a website she made for someone, I'm hoping to go with her and learn

But here's a few from today, comments and critique would be fantastic

I don't like the facial expression on 4 but do like the pose, oh well its only my first attempt. We are goin to try it more often so we can both refine our techniques

5 was an experiment when we were running out of ideas, trying to pronounce the fact we are in the studio

Most shot with 50mm F1.8 @ F10 on 20D iso 100, 2 bowens flashes on backdrop and 1 overhead bowens flash. The lips were done with my trusty macro modded 35-80

Cheers

Good stuff. You need to send your friend to Charlotte for a visit! I would be more than delighted to shoot with her in my studio.

You did a good job with these. Overall, excellent captures!

Charles, How long have you been in photography? You woudldn't happen to have a pic of your studio would you?

Great pics by the way.

I just love her hair. Something about outrageously dyed hair that gets me going.

Love all the shots, but as already said, that frown spoils an otherwise great pic

Started at 14 with a Pentax Asahi Spotmatic that my grandfather had picked up in Japan the year I was born. Later moved to a Canon AE-1 Program and then a series of different 35mm, large format and medium format cameras. But I've been shooting seriously for about 14 years. No shot offhand but maybe I will do one sometime.

Thank you for the kind feedback.

I still think the lips need to be more moist...

Nice work on all!- #1 is way artistic but a little too macro for me when shown with the other photos - looks a little like a fuschia Grand Canyon - lol!
good job!
