Is anyone not using EE to resize their photos? It worked for me before but now I can't get it to work. Who knows what's wrong. I'd just as soon resize them myself and upload them into the right folders manually. With the older version there were some actions for resizing that worked great. I'm not a PS guru so can someone help me out? If it's PS actions or some other program. Thanks.

I am not clear as to what you are asking for. So some clarification.

1) You know how to manually upload your images (and thus avoid the the auto resize of EE)?
(there is a sticky telling how)

2) Are you asking how you take you large image and make is small?
What program are you using? PS
PS you go to Image Size and you can change the size of you image and save.

But it's not that easy for the thumbs and microthumbs. I know how to manually upload the pictures and can resize but I don't know how to make good thumbs and microthumbs.

There are several thumbnail & resize programs around. I use Photothumb. With it I can create thumbs & 800 X 600 & microthumbs & 1024 X 768 sizes in two passes through the originals. I also can apply IPTC info.
