I like this backpack but it seems to be just a tad too big for carry-on luggage. Has anyone got turned down for using it as a carry on? Anyone got through with it ok as a carryon??

This I'd also like to know. I love my Karachi Outpost to death, but it would suck if I couldn't use it as a carry on.

I'm about to buy Karachi Outpost and did little bit research. Here's what I found. http://www.luggageonline.com/about_airlines.cfm
Karachi Outpost dimension: 20.47 x 13.39 x 9.84" (34 x 52 x 25 cm) (WxHxD)
Based on the dimension, I don't think it's doable.
Anyone has any experience with this?

the dimensions according to REI for the whicky and cox are 20.5 x 13.5 x 10 in
the dimensions i found for the Karachi Outpost are 22x15x12 in
with that being said i know i was able to carry my whicky and cox on the plane. it just barely fit under the seat. i doubt you would be able to fit the karachi outpost under the seat.

I have one of these that I travel with all the time. I usually go out of the country with it and have never had an airline tell me that it was too big for a carry-on.

Yeah, I never put my stuff up. It'll be fine. Most bags will considering what I've taken on a plane before as my carry. Plus you can get two bags if you use a laptop bag.
