That's a great composition, but the focus looks a bit soft. What lens did you use and what shutter speed?

Shutter Speed of 1/8 you cannot shoot handheld without the blur. You would need a flash, like the 420EX bounced off the ceiling or wall, or another, faster lens like the 50 1.8. Ok what are you waiting for go spend your money! Ok, sorry just getting ahead of myself :) . Great shot btw!

If you were hand holding the camera (without a tripod) at 1/8 of a sec, then that would explain the soft focus. If you hand hold, you should shoot about as fast a shutter speed, as the focal lenght of the lens. So, shooting at 46 mm, then 1/60 of a second might have been better. That's just sort of a general rule, in fact I might even be off a bit on the exact formula, but if you consistantly get soft shots, you might want to switch to TV and set the shutter speed to at least the focal lenght that you are zoomed to, or use a flash, or a tripod.
