I'm flying down to Charleston tomorrow on business and will have a 1/2 day to shoot around the Charleston area. I have scoped out the Lighthouses and Ft. Sumpter, and I know there is an awesome suspension bridge. Is there amything you'd recommend for the area. Or places to setup for the places I mentioned? Your help is appreciated.
Thanks
Dean

Depends upon what your bent in photography is. From you post you seem to favor landscapes. When in Charleston, I always like to shoot the historic district by the waterfront. No, not the usual tourist street and house shots. There's a lot of incredible architecture there. Tight shots of lines, shapes, colors, textures, etc.

The gardens on the Ashley River are awesome. One of them, Magnolia Place, from memory (it's been 10 years), you will recognize from umpteen movies. Middleton place is great too. The slave markets are a great place for people shots, and the waterfront (Battery Row?) has stunning townhouse architecture.
Not as nice as Savannah though.... :-)
