Looked like they were a bit out of position from what I'm used to but the timing worked out quite well.

Looks like they are just a few feet away (which is normal) but abnormally close

Looked like they were a bit out of position from what I'm used to but the timing worked out quite well.Looks like two models put in proximity to each other for the shot. Hard to imagine 2 Blue Angels simulating a carrier landing with tailhook and landing gear down in the middle of a flyby like this. It seems out of place. I've not seen the Blue Angels yet though, I missed them last year. The Thunderbirds don't do this, I don't remember the Snowbirds doing this either.

The Angels do this as a matter of "routine". I have seen them several times now and they impress me every time.
