Hi all -

If my onboard flash fires, am I supposed to see that in the EXIF data? When I have my external flash (420ex) connected and fired, it will say "Flash: Fired" in the EXIF, but when I use my onboard flash, it says, "Flash: Did not fire". I have a hacked 300D, and I really don't know if it ever showed onboard flash info in the EXIF data.

Thanks for your help!

Just did a check on mine, (hacked) and EXIF shows flash fired.

Try a different viewer. Not all viewers show full EXIF data. I just converted the shot I took with CO. It shows the flash data. I later viewed it in ACDSEE. It does not show the flash.

I am currently viewing in PSE3.0. I don't have anything else to view at the moment, as I recently had to rebuild my PC. But thank you anyway for the heads-up. I'll check as soon as I load in my ACDSee.
