View Full Version : Star Trail from an SV AT1010 refractor

These are 30 seconds shot with the 300D and the AT1010 scope . Mainly to see what the results would be . The brightest star in the first image is Deneb in the Summer Triangle which is in the constellation Cygnus and i can't remember what the second image is . The purple haze around Deneb is the results from the scope being an Achromatic and not an Apochromatic . APOs' are more expensive and do not show these purple hazes . This purple haze is not seen as bad when viewing tho and the AT1010 is a great scope for viewing for the $$$ . Cs'&Cs' welcome .

Ha, yeah, I see what you mean. I have APOs which put the purple fringing on bright stars, but sometimes I don't mind it actually.
