Messing around today and took a picture of a jar of Tabasco.

You might try a different color for the background. The white has too much contrast so competes with the bottle. It looks pretty sharp though.

It's a photo, but it's not interesting to me. Perhaps try to take a photo that's different from what people see every day.

What is the purpose of this?

I don't know what rulon's purpose in this was, but to me, it's purpose would be to experiment with taking pictures of glass objects. Something that is not that easy to do. I think most of us have tried different objects from time to time, for no other reason than just to see how it turns out. And there have been a lot of times that I've taken pictures for no purpose at all other than I wanted to take pictures and the only thing handy was a stuffed animal, a bunch of pencils, an egg, a dried up flower, or something else that was just laying around. It's called practicing and keeping the photographic jucies flowing.

Thanks for the comments no real purpose in taking the picture just wanted to play around and practice.
