Wow amazing, I love how the butterfly and flower arwe in color. Great shot.

Very nice, though perhaps a little overdone.

Michaelmjc - that effect takes maybe a couple of minutes per picture using Photoshop, easy stuff.

Thanks everyone, just trying to sharpen my skills in PS.

tim, do you mean "overdone" meaning too many people use this color/B&W effect? or did you mean I overdid something in photoshop?

I ask cause the more Iook at the pic, sometimes the "phonier" it looks. Maybe because my PS skills are still developing. But, maybe you meant people use this effect way too much?

Interested to hear back. Thanks!

I think it may look phony because the butterfly was so flat and the selective coloring could have drawn attention to that; the butterfly doesn't look like it is taking up space in the scene.

I do think selective coloring is somewhat overdone, but here the effect is nice; the color of the butterfly and flower are not lost in the scene.
