I thought that I would produce my 'first' still life shot this afternoon . . . so I set about placing the fruit in the clean Waterford Crystal glass bowl in a manner that would show the best colors, textures, contrasts and spark the most interest in my, yet to be discovered, Still Life Professional Photographer Career. Please notice the placement of the fruit . . .

Who Lee O, an eleven year old cat that my oldest son left me with when his new bride said 'NO' to the furry mammal living with them . . . lives with me now. I suppose since he was sunning himself in front of the window for most of the day, he can be counted as still life too. I was hoping to use more natural light . . . except Who Lee O would not move.

Perhaps tomorrow . . . what do you think?

Thank you once again Dave . . . If I could shoot the moon like you I would trade you this cat. I do believe this is the right section however for still life. If he moves by the morrow I will try again with better light.

Tell the cat not to move that you want to take his picture... he'll move. ;D

Nice basket although the bottem layer of fruit is a bit low. You might put some filler in the bottem (that doesn't show) and raise them all up a bit so they can be seen over the edge.

What a cute cat, you better not try to get some fruit, I bet he's guarding it ;)

Very good shot of Who Lee O. Who cares about the fruit?
