That's some real vivd color!

I guess since my sunrise trip to the desert was a bit of a bust, maybe I should try a sunset trip to the coast!

I have a question for everyone. When you look at the picture posted, can you see the cloud formations above the sun? Or is it mostly a black blob? I ask because when I look at the picture in PS, it looks totally different than what is displayed on this web page. Why would that be?

Going through other pictures, everything appears to be "brighter" in PS than with Windows Picture Viewer. Is there any settings within PS to fix this?

Here is another example, the clouds and ocean appear as black blobs with Windows Picture Viewer, but you can see the waves/clouds in PS just fine:

I assume it is my monitor, but I would like to know if anyone else can see the waves/clouds on their monitor?

I see them, but they are somewhat dark. My monitor is LCD, that always looks less bright.

I see them too which is remarkable considering the sun usually causes the sea and ground to appear as a silhouette:cool:
Great shots

I've changed my Photoshop workspace color and the images look much closer to how they appear when printed. I've uploaded the new shots.

Very nice color. Where was this taken?

Side note: How do you like the 75-300 ?

Nice picture, but again its a little too plain. I know you couldn't of done anything to make it "unplane" but its just a little boring. Great colours though.

I know, but there wasn't any sailboats out in the ocean that night to place in the foreground. :( But, having the clouds just above the horizon and watching the sun pass behind the clouds and reappearing before going below the horizon was amazing. The pictures don't do the sunset justice.
