I'm missing the part where the guy who murders a 21 year old is testifying angainst the other woman that he managed to convince to help him clean up the crime scene,.. ?

A pre-meditated crime took place,. not necesarily th murder,. but he clearly did not intend to pay,. thus the theft was premeditated.

Is the DA offering the MURDERER a deal so that they can prosicute the "after the fact accomplis" ???
