Request: Falling Snow

Anyone have some interesting pictures of snowfall? It's just beginning to snow here and I'm antsy to try and get some snowflakes in action :cool:

not that it snows much here, but i would like to try and get a shot from a long lens ( 70-200 ) with a narrow depth of field, and manually adjust the focus to a set distance, and press the button.

i'd be looking to get a few flakes in focus and then a good few more out of focus, so that you can see a real depth to the falling snow.

but it need to snow for me to try that ! ....

Here's one from April this year.

I used my 10-20mm lens for this. The tricky part was balancing my golf umbrella on my shoulder, keeping dry and making sure the umbrella stayed out of the picture all at the same time!! You have to be prepared to get a bit cold and wet and bring a lens cloth at snowflakes tend to get under the umbrella and rise up onto your kit and make big wet splodges on your lens!
