Sorry if it's off topic, but I was just wondering why the histogram view has to have too much information... I wish I could see just the picture taken with a small-medium size histogram...

Anyone here feels the same?

True.
An I'd love if we could toggle back and forthe between views like ....large histogram to full replay just with the joystick. And how about littl red "tick" marks to show where the histogram data reall ends, instead of little dots trailing off.

I think Nikon's have that feature, a big picture with the histogram superimposed over the image. Canon doesn't. I haven't found it to be a big deal for me. I guess some may.

It doesn't bother me that much on the 40D but on the 5D it annoys me. I guess it's because of the smaller screen.

My XTi does this. If I understand your question. Pic side by side with histogram.
