I've been keeping a lookout for Ladybirds as a TV show in Australia has asked people to send in photos of Ladybirds they find. Massive prize and accolades for the best photo sent in. (well , you get a book on Ladybirds :D)
I'm hoping this pic I posted on POTN earlier this year might have a chance: (now able to be Identified as Illeis galbula)

Hey! Well done and congratulations! Well deserved, it's a great shot.

I was just wondering about that comp the other day. I submitted a couple of shots too. Actually my best submission is the fourth from left here, yours is first on left (http://www.abc.net.au/catalyst/stories/2425411.htm). Then got an email from ABC about them possibly using some photos in Gardening Australia magazine. You get that? You going to allow it? Good acknowledgement I suppose.

That's a nice one Troy. I just emailed a larger pic for the Gardening Australia article. Deadline is tonight or tomorrow, just made it. That will be my first published pic so a bit of a novelty for me. I'll end up paying for a copy of the magazine just to see my pic.

Hehe. No shame in that. You have to buy a copy so you can scan it and post it "in print" here ;)
