I am just begining with my Canon 20D.
I am shooting only RAW, for testing porposes.
I shoot and I can see photos is the backscreen of the camera.
But whem I conect it to my pc, I can not finf any file in the folders files of the camera.
Nor jpeg files (wich is normal) nor raw files (rc2). So I can not download them to my pc (PS PS wint new raw update) to worke on them.
Can any one give me a tip, wher to find those files. They must be there,as I se them in the preview of the camera.
Thank you in advance.

How are you connecting to the PC? Via the camera USB port? What system or program are you using to view the files? More information would be useful.
But, by and large, the easiest solution to your problem is to spend 10 buck on a CF card reader and use that to transfer the files from your CF card to the computer. To see the CR2 (RAW) files you need to use the software that came with your camera or a patched version of Photoshop or Photoshop elements.

Dear Mark,
Thank you.
I am connected directly to the PC (20D --->PC) via USB port.
If I shoot jpeg I can see all those files and transfer them to PC to a folder I choose, as normal files, as in copy file situation.
But the raw files, I can t see them, it is as they are note there or hidden.
I Would like to copy them to a PC folder and then open them in PS CS, or other suiteble probram.
Bust I just canīt find them in the 20D. But they must be there, as I saw those pictures in the review option of the camera.
Regards
Jose

Dear Mark,
I tried to take the carda out ( ScanDisk 2Gb Extreme III) and read it outside in a card reader, and I can find the files now.
But Why not if 20D connected directly to PC? It does not much sense to me.
And I dind not want to put and get out the card from the camera, and this way I can not do otherway.
Any ideas.
Best regars and thnak you for your help

Canon cameras can't be read as a disk device. They use a language.. or more precisely, a protocol.. (Either PTP or Canon's own proprietary protocol). You also might have noticed that you can't perform any disk utilities like defragment, checkdisk or format. This is beacuse you aren't accessing the card directly.
If you're using Windows XP, it will use the PTP protocol (which is built in) to see the JPEG files, but not the RAW files. (I don't know exactly why this is :) ). You must use the software Canon supplies to download RAW files and THM files directly from the camera.
If you use a card reader, then you access the card directly like a disk drive. You can see all the files.
