Picked up some Alienbee's yesterday, and decided to test them out.

This is my first time using strobes, so any C&C and tips would be helpful.

1.

Any ideas how to get rid of the reflection on the headlights while shooting?

Great shots! Where did the shoot take place? Is that a studio?

that is one clean 330i! lighting looks pretty even but the tires disappear in #3. i like the soft lighting on the interior.

Very good pics, the light style works great. And that interior... AWESOME!! Red seats with silver body go fantastic!!!

As a rule from now on, now that I have some strobes and pocket wizards coming, that you have to take a picture of the setup before posting.

Nice work, love it!

I did.. hehe.. I guess it's so the ABs brightness aren't reflected back at the camera.Nice pics, though.. I would suggest getting more light on the rear of the car on the 3/4 view.

Not sure about how to get rid of reflections except maybe polarizers?
Anyway, overall looks nice, only thing I'd adjust is how short the transition is to the black background is. I'd like to see a bit more of the car.

Nice shots overall.

Tee - Polarizers are known to give a rainbow effect in the headlight, which is unattractive and distracting.

I picked up a set locally, 2xB800's with softboxes.

The car had autofold mirrors, and like Corzy mentioned, for reflections.

It was my first time and I barely had time (camera battery was running out and spare was at home), so I mainly wanted to concentrate on the front. I'll try lighting up the rear better next time!

Thanks. I even tried the polorizer but it didn't help. I'll try lengthen the transition. Thanks.

great clean shots!

Thanks!

For the reflections, you should try different angles and position the lights differently so you don't get the hot spots on the car. Try to bounce the light, too.
