Super happy with this lens that I picked up used for only $59. Very fast focus, crisp shots and great range for indoor shots of family and portraits. Found this write up that seems to agree: http://www.photozone.de/2Equipment/reviews/canon2870.htmAnyone have any experience with this lens?

Well, it's a real bargain at $59 ! Too bad it doesn't have USM (but you can't have it all, can you ? ;) ).

so you did get that lens! was that you in this forum that was looking for info on one maybe a few weeks ago? nway i have one too. i got it for 70. yours was a real bargain. now im just looking for a lens hood to fit that i believe its the ew-68a.
