Don't forget for your 430EX to be trigged by the CS you will need an adapter similar to this.

Enjoy your lights!

honestly its part of the master plan but i did a little research in it and i didn't like what ive read on the AB light stand w/c cost $60+ instead i went w/ impact heavy duty air cushioned light stand cost me $45 shipped w/ a capacity of 26Ibs.
anyway how do you like the cybersyncs?

Just givin' ya' a hard time.

I often buy from bh and forget something and have to pay seperate shipping.

I have all Impact stands. I love their 9.5ft air cushioned ones.

I had bought a bunch when they had free shipping on them last xmas.

CS's have performed flawlessly although I've only had them a couple weeks now.

Do yourself a favor and pick up a 5-pack of lanyard from ebay for $6.

A nice way to hand the cs's on the stand.

I will post the thread link later if I find the diy on the simple non-warranty voiding procedure... :)

Sorry, couldn't find the thread here, but here's the one I followed on PCB.

Just a possible warning.

When you put the battery cover back on when the lanyard is installed, but sure to push the tang up some because it doesn't clip in all the way.
When I did this I heard a click and I knew it was safe.

Failure to do so could cause your CSRB to go places... :)

Here's the lanyards I bought.
They came in a week from HK.
The strings are very thin which is good for the battery cover.
Also it has the adjustable strap so I can strap it securely on the light tilt mechanism.

Congrats on your new lighting! I hope you enjoy it a lot! and extra 100 points for choosing the heavy duty stand ;), many people try to save money and put their monolights on normal stands and that's the best way to have a horrible accident! :P... (I witnessed how an ex boss of mine killed a profoto head because that way!) Impact and Savage heavy duty stands are solid and cheap :)
