4x6
5x7
8x10

ETC.... Im setting up my prices and I want to know if you all use the basic ones or if you make up your own.. I dont really know how much to charge per print... Can anyone help me with this? This will be key because Im shooting a ballet this weekend and I need to figure it out before then... Thanks all!

Since im just starting out, I'm not charging too much.

4x6 - $1.00 (standard size print anymore)
5x7 - $5.00
8x10 - $7.00

I was going to increase these as I get better to..
5x7 - $7.00
8x10 - $10.00
.. But we'll see how it goes first. :)

I ment to ask what all do you offer? just the basic 4x6 5x7 8x10, or do you offer everything?

I also offer the wallets (mini & reg.) for $5/each set
Magazine covers $15
Trading cards - $14
Game tix - $12

I didnt really use a formula..just changed the price all together.
And I've told people this year that i'll put in one order a week and order
all together and save everyone the shipping cost.
Since i'm just getting out there and figuring things out, I wanted to be flexable.
Next year, I might do things a bit different. :)

do you print any prints? I want to know what people use as paper...

I was just using the kodak (reg.) paper they offer.
I have heard the metallic is nice, but I havent seen it first hand.

I'm sure someone more knowledgable on it could probably help you more than I could :)

These prices won't help you much since they are not in your area - pricing is VERY dependent on where you live. My prices are based on location - not the lowest, not the highest. If I moved to where some friends live I could double my prices and still not be the highest or lowest, just average. Search the forum and you'll find a ton of posts about pricing, even a sticky. The main suggestion would be to look at what others are offering price wise in your area and pick what will work for you. I got 5 or 6 different companies price sheets and went from there for my prices.

Matte is the default finish unless they ask for different. When ordering online (through Exposure Manager) it's there choice on finish - Matte, Glossy, Luster - no Metallic though can offer it, probably should set that up to.

You'll find that some products are good, some are not so good sales wise. Personally have three different price sheets, one just for prints because of rules of the league, one with different products the client for that event wanted, one default gallery lineup of products for everything else. Choice is good.

If you're doing T&I matte or luster is good because the fingerprints don't show up - though next year Luster may be my default.

...are 9x12 and 10x15 a popular size out there? 11x14's are the usual prints after 8x10, then followed by 16x20.

I NEVER get this...people having such a gap in there 4x6 to 5x7.

Based off that list....

$4 - 4x6
$5 - 5x7
$7 - 6x9
$8 - 8x10
Other two not sure, cuz I would offer 11x14 ($16) and 16x20 ($28) instead.

or you could, if zen lets you, create different things like...

Set of four 4x6's - $8
Set of two 5x7's - $8
One 8x10 - $8
11x14 - $14
16x20 - $28

Zen doesn't have packages at this time (nor does it allow you to tailor a coupon to a specific gallery.) Perhaps one day............
