Dave I like the simplicity of your site and your photos are nice. The outdoor portrait lighting looks natural and pleasing. There are a few things however that I think might make an improvement on the site. You have it set up where everything is on the main page. In my opinion you should have your main page to include a brief description of you and your site with a link bar to take your visitors to a separate page for the images. Also, it's rare to see a physical address and telephone number listed. I personally wouldn't offer that kind of information unless you know who you are dealing with. And one last thing, the watermarks on your photos are distracting. It's a long shot that anyone would actually steal one of your photos so they are likely unnecessary. Hope this helps you.

would it be better with the watermarks if i lowered the opacity?

That would probably help but perhaps relocating it off the center would be better in my opinion

Hey Dave there are a bunch of ways to create a signature in Photoshop. In my opinion you don't need anything elaborate. Here is an example of a simple one......

Dave if I'm sorry if I'm missing something here because I'm not familiar with that site. But couldn't you just add a watermark or signature to your photos before you upload them to that site?

i could but then when someone wants to print them (its not like photobucket or flicker), The watermark would still be on the photo..

You can set it to where it is placed in the corner. You should change your layout. There are not enough galleries to take up the space or increase the size of the display photos.
Also make sure your backgrounds are consistent. The athletics one changes. But I would give them all the same background or change up each group like in mine. I gave each group something different and tried to match with what the group contained. Urban photos had the brick background.

If you upgrade to the premium membership, you can have "virtual" watermarks that show on your photos on the web only , and do not appear on ordered prints.
OT, Nathan, have you considered using the smaller thumbnails on your zenfolio? I can only see the top 4 galleries on my 15in laptop screen, have to do a lot of scrolling to see the rest....
