Ugh! Well the advisor was no help at all, I still do not know what to do!Advisers rarely are. But think of it this way, you can always change at some point. You are not committed to a path forever. Just pick the one that interests you most and give it a go. If it turns out that you really screwed up and it's not going to work out change.

Ooooohhhh I'm so going to be breaking some major diet rules tonight. I just made 3 pies. I have been rather productive today. Cleaned my kitchen till it sparkled and did like 1500 loads of laundry. Ok fine it wasn't that many but it's been running all day. Next room to tackle is the dining room that my sweet little boy trashed on a 1 year old tornado like rampage through the house with his toys.

So here is Abby's first visit with Santa.. i was surprised they actually did give a high res the image was 2000x2800 at 300DPI.
Here is my clean up of the shot, had to clean up the exposure, add some contrast and clone out a couple of stupid things in the background.

Enjoy lunch Tiff.
I have my bag back!! Apparently the local police picked it up right off the bridge over the train tracks yesterday. They looked to see if there was identification and then tried to drop it off. I wasn't home. We ran up there after retracing my steps once again. I walked in and it was sitting on a desk I could see from the door. The officer knew then that the bag was mine. He was getting ready to head out the door to bring it to the house again. I had to show him my ID just to make sure. He commented that he'd never seen a diaper like that and it was cool. Had it not been there we'd have been down in the rail road tracks. Although I think I want to go down there in the spring between trains and get some cool shots. It would be cooler if I could get shots while the train is going by. Hmmm maybe not in the valley but along the tracks anyways.....Good News!!!

There is no need for a Drysuit Cert! The important thing is getting some dives in shallow warmer water and practice stuff like floods and stuck inflators!

I know. I dove with a tec guy and I dove with a cave guy, they both said I did fine (and I don't think either of them have a drysuit cert) but I kept getting crap from dive cons at the shop, probably because of my age. The only thing I learned in class that I didn't already know was how to use my BCD to right myself on the surface if I go feet first and my feet are out of the water.
Thanks for the link. I don't know what place my LDS uses but I think they're located in Deleware. I've got a Pinnacle Evo 2 so hopefully I won't have any problems for quite a while.
Well, the dry gloves were an incredible, unbelieveable...........failure :( The ones I got from Home Depot had an such an unnoticeable liner that I didn't think it would be a proplem but by the end of the first dive (about 30 min.) both arms were soaked to the elbow. Luckily I brought an extra long sleeve shirt and an extra sweatshirt so I just dove with wetgloves for the second dive. Guess I'll have to get the Harbor Freight gloves and then buy a pair of Atlas 495's from Seatle Maritime (~$16/pair). I also need to get some bigger o-rings cause the ones I have are too much of a PITA to get on with TWO poeple (and the whole point is for them to be self-donning)

I suppose I could do that, I just figured I'd try this out just to see if it would work and to have some fun actually making them. I think I can get a pair of Si-Tec rings for about $150 although I have heard a lot of people claiming the Viking bayonet rings are pretty darn good.

Two sets, on different drives - one in camera/frame number sequence (without year dividers) and one by topic/subtopic. But I've got 4K on the 1D3, 2K or so on the 5D and a few hundred on the rest.

But do you guys keep your images in yearly folders? If you do just wondering how many shots did you take so far in 2008? I organize mine using windows directories alone. It's easy, makes backing up a breeze, and is very transportable to other machines. I popped in a pic of my picture directory opened a little so you can see the layering. I have some big buckets like old-pics, pics, workpics, Under there is breaks down to sub categories, family, house, trips, misc and such. One more lever and I have the main even shoot directore and thats dated in the name Like Cranes112208 shot yesterday. One more level down and I have the status of processing the pics. Org-Unproc are the raw files untouched. Done-Jpeg are the finished pics and when done the raw files get moved to Org-Proc along wit the sidecar files. I suppose it looks convoluted but it is very easy to manage. I'm just under 20k pics online and I pretty much can find anything in seconds.
Same here. I think I may be purchasing light room though since I can get it for $100 so maybe that'll help the process. :DLR for $100. well worth it.

Oh god my head...
Well Exercising for 2 hour's with a major headache is a no-no.
We ordered a fridge/oven/washing machine For the new house along with curtains for the bed rooms (except for the living room, leaving it till next month) Got some wooden tiles on my floor, a larger table, comfy chair, 2 monitors side by side (21 inch/17 inch) and the almighty projector to the left of me...
What else shall i need :3

Anyone
know how to search the computer to pull all raw files so i can transfer them into a folder? I am using Vista 64bit and use search and search for *.CR2 but it says found too many files and can;t show them all.
I tried a couple of programs suggested in another thread but it seems to copy over folders and files that are not needed when i search *.CR2.
Oh... and GOOOD MORNING :D

Do you have different virtual disks or one large partition? If it's different disks, limit the search to one disk at a time.
If it's one disk are they in different directories? If so, limit the search to the highest lever directory possible and still find the files.
Else, you move all the files you know about manually to shrink the number it has to find, then use the find to get the stragglers.

Every Spring a buddy and i drive around and pick up Snowblowers that have broken down and people either leave at the end of there driveways for the scrap metal or at the dump..
Spend the summer with our spare time fixing them up and then when this time of year comes the first snow fall we sell them out.. lol
Last spring we picked up 4 units spent $140 in parts $30 in new paint and sold the last one sold this weekend for $350.. i think we ended up making about $1250 this year for a few hours tinkering here and there. :D

I got my current slow blower that way. It was thrown out because it had a broken pull cord. It cost me about 1 hour and about 1 dollar of pull cord and I got me a snow blower. Been using it for several years now and it’s still cranking away.

Yea it was funny i found one two years ago.. Looked brand new so i actually asked the home owner first if he was tossing it out just incase he was not sitting there for another reason..
He told me yea it was 2 months out of the 6 month warrenty and the electric starter fried.. he said he was qouted $600 to repair it and he only paid $900 for it new 8 months ago..
So i took it..
Little did the guy know, and i kind of felt guilty was that it had a pull start as a backup.. lol So i use i kept it for my father.

I’m sure he could have found out easy enough, heck, crack open the manual. But maybe it is plain ignorance but I also believe that many just don’t care. I live in consumer central and have picked up many things just because people don’t care to find out and figure it’s easier to get a new one. I got my Milwaukee circular saw because the guy just didn’t care and I even told him that you could change blades. He was tossing it because it didn’t cut well and smoked like crazy when he was sawing. I looked at the blade and ½ of the carbide teeth were gone and the ones remaining were completely rounded. It looked like he was sawing through metal. I told him the blade was shot and that he could change it. He just said he didn’t like the saw anymore and I could have it. That was years ago and many blades ago. I still have the saw.

Nice. My Dad got hooked on this place called freecycle (clicky) (http://www.freecycle.org/), pretty much you advertise stuff you don't want but can't sell (or don't want to sell). So far we've gotten rid of a bunch of stuff and picked up some things like a perfectly working non-portable scanner. Check it out, you never know what people will just throw away (obviously) ;)

Well dressing for the occasion requires me to have a house, with a roaring fire in the fireplace, a bearskin rug on the floor, a nice bottle chilling and my wife dressed in something not appropriate for diving I’m sure. That’s how to deal with the cold. ;)

Means that she is average. 90% of other kids her age have the same specs. as her. My little guy was 50-50. But my SIL's kid was 2% weight 35% height. She calorie counts for her kid, nough said.
