Oh and there really isn't a story behind the psycho thing. It's just an older lady I work with. She talks to herself and yells at her computer and talks my ear off and today it's just me and her :(. She loves to tell you everything. Even her irritable bowel syndrome. It's disturbing and I don't want to hear about it. So I call her psycho. It's nice in my opinion :).

I'm here. Today has been hectic. While I Christmas shopped Kyle was fixing the floor of one of his cousin's trailers. He wasn't done by the time I needed to leave to come home to get the kids. Was on for a few minutes between getting home and getting the kids, had to hide the presents too. Then I had to go back and pick up Kyle up and then we spent a little bit at his (former) stepdads house.

Ewww I hate bees! Why do you have a random picture of bees?THey are not bees, they are flies. It's out Stephen King return from vacation story.
We left for vacation for a few weeks. Both my wife and I are freaky about coming home to a messy house so before leaving for vacation we had the house spotless. When we returned I opened the front door and a few flys buzzed past my face. As it was summer and hot I went to open up the windows and fet some air into the house and thats when I saw them. Hundreds of flys. Every window had them. THey were all over. There were dead flys all over the floor.
So I got the shop vac and started vacuming them up. I stopped counting at 1800 and those were just the live ones. It was horrible. we never did find what food source that fed these guys for two weeks.

that is gross. However we keep our kitchen really clean, my husband is ocd about that and I can be too since it's the kitchen, and we had a fly infestation too. What made it worse is that they were in my bathroom too. Makes no sense.

..Morning everyone. Yea, the flies were pretty gross and we never did find the source. This year when we left we fumigated at the same time with those Raid cans you drop in water and they smoke up a storm. Placed 6 cans around the house from basement to garage. The result was not a single critter alive. A few dead ones on the floor, but dead ones I can deal with.

Kids plan it that way. I'm convinced of it.
Yeah, it'll be fun.
I'm planning on heading to a kids store in a town nearby to get Aidan some new shoes. I'm hoping it doesn't end up being a complete disaster.
:( I hope they magically wake up from their naps all better...no more stuffies.
That would be super!

Good morning thread people
Eww on the spider. I don't like spiders. My husband freaks out and screams like a little school girl when he sees one. It's kinda funny.
Tiff mine do similar things. Or they all get sick at once and in my house that is bad.
Today it is cold. High of 34. I don't do cold. I'm also watching the guy that the neighbors hired to cut down the tree that died in our yard this year. He started it the day before Halloween. He worked on Halloween and we've not seen him until today. If he has to have our electric shut off so that he doesn't hit the line I'm going to put that to a screeching halt. We have electric heat and I have no van since Kyle started a new job today.
Wow that was a novel.

15cm of snow and morons on the road just can't adjust! I dive 90 mins to work down one of our busy highways and i passed 9 cars in the ditch 5 suv/ tuck styles in the ditch and 11 fender benders on the side of the road exchanging information..

The Baby is great,
She has learned how to make new sounds being 3 months old this week she has learned how to make these littles squeals i swear if you where not in the room with her you would think it was a couple of cats fighting!!!
We have been able to completely know her we know her tired cry, her hunger cry her board squeal, her i want attention noises.. Its all fun!
she has started to get to us now because she will not lay down. She has to be sitting up like a "Big Girl" my wife calls her. So we got out her feeding chair and put it on the couch with us and she can sit up right between us and its funny she will look at my wife and smile.. then watch tv for a min then look at me and smile and watch tv and back and forth..
We are hoping to get her first visit to see Santa tomorrow and get a Santa picture :)

You know the hardest thing about having this child... Is not the child! Its the inlaws!!
We had her Aug22nd and my wifes parents have been over EVERY Day. They have not missed a day yet, my wife keeps saying it will fade and they will stop coming over and its not happening.
To a point where i lost it about 3 weeks ago and had to set a time of 8pm and everyone has to be gone. No visitors after 8pm.
I work from 5:30 am - 4pm monday to friday i get home at 6:30pm eat dinner with my wife and then by 7pm her parents show up and up untill 3 weeks ago they would stay until they wanted to leave some evenings it was not untill well past 11pm!!!
I am in bed and asleep by 10pm and i was going crazy not having the time to spend with my child ( Daddy Time ) so i ended up telling her parents one day they where over that they have to be gone by 8pm as i need my time with her, or they could pick a couple of nights a week and come up and stay late however they could not contiune to come up every night and stay late!
Well this pissed her dad off big time!!! He was very angry that i was telling him when he could or could not come over, well i pretty much told him i wanted time with my child and that time was from 8pm until i went to bed and it was not there right to question it.
Well they did the first couple of nights they did not leave at 8... so the third night i came down at 8pm picked her off his lap and headed up stairs and have done it ever since! However they are over EVERY freaking day!!! :(

oh well my rant is over. It's the same here. I think that folks with 4 wheel drive cards get lulled into a false sense of security. They think that just because 4 wheel drive helps you accelerate that somehow it will help in braking as well. They for get that all cars when it comes to stopping in snow will slide the same way. A car going faster will slide further and the 4 wheel drive will do nothing to help.

I do enjoy my in laws and Natalie enjoys my parents as well. Our apartment is about .5 mile from either set of parents. We like the neighborhood and the apartments we are moving into are basically brand new. I bet we are the second or possibly third tenant to live in it. The place is immaculate.
I dont think we will have the issue of them seeing us everyday. Man I hope not. Family time is just that, family time. That does not include extended family lol. I'm sorry to hear that but at least you stood your ground and let them know how you feel. It's not like you are all in the same household. You have your rules - so be it.

Ugh, that sucks! My in-laws pop over once a week and that drives me crazy enough. Your wife's family needs to learn some limits!
I've cut them off earlier than 8pm. Jeepers, why do they need to be over every day...they already had their baby days...let you have yours.
And, it's YOUR house....you should be able to decide who comes over and when.

We just had a similar snow storm late last week. It's melted now with more on the way, but I couldnt believe the number of tracks I saw along a stretch of road where the speed limit is 40mph (64.37kph). There were 4 sets within just about a mile. People just dont know how to slow down, and in this town with all the military personnel we see a lot of first term airmen from the south who have never driven in it - so that I can understand a little more than the locals.

We are in the same boat, My inlaws live two streets over a 45 second drive!!! And i love spending time with them..
Before we had the baby we would see them every Sunday. We would go over around 11am and do lunch with them and and sit outside in the afternoon and then head over to watch her brother play soccer in the late afternoon and i loved it.
But now they come over every night, and its not so much them coming over but my parents live an hour away they come up twice a week to see Abby and they end up fighting with her parents to hold her and it really bothers me! Then we spend every sunday for lunch with her parents and her parents tend to show up every Saturday afternoon.
And the last 3 weekends her father has shown up at our door at 7am!!!!!!! on the saturday wanting to see her before he goes to work! I mean its just really getting under my skin!

no apologies needed!
Sorry you are having issues with the extended family! I know that if we lived any closer to either set of parents that would become an issue, when we have a child! that is one reason that we decided to live so far away. I know it's not always an option for some people, and like in your case... you have to lay down some rules in your house! "Visitation hours are between 4-6pm Sun, Tues, Thur, bring your own food" LOL I would totally do this! hahaha maybe even less days than that! hahaha. your family time is way more important than the extended family!

I've had one of those. Lay down the law and give them days that they can come over. That is going to put a HUGE kink in your marriage and can be very detrimental. Personally I would talk to the wife and let her know your feelings and that it needs to end now. There has got to be a line. You need that time with your family, your wife, your child. They need to understand this. I realize that they want to see their grand daughter but wow.

Love and attention is one thing; smothering is another.
They should adopt a baby themselves or something to spread the love around! Goodness knows there are plenty of kids who don't have someone to love them...
Maybe Big Brothers Big Sisters or something.
